Here is the low-down on your fall foliage views in Baltimore City

According to the Baltimore Sun, the peak time to catch peak fall foliage in 2019 will be mid-October. Baltimore city has not just one, not two, but THREE large parks to view amazing fall foliage. Designed by Frederick Olmstead (who also designed Central Park in NYC), Patterson Park provides 137 acres of prime fall foliage viewing (go ahead and prance/skip/frolic/selfie to your heart’s content).

Federal Hill sits above Baltimore’s gorgeous Inner Harbor, and provides sweeping views of the water. Its high vantage point was chosen as an advantageous position in the Civil War, and will likewise give you VIP views for all the orange/red/yellow foliage Baltimore’s waterfront has to offer!

Lastly, don’t forget about Fort McHenry, the birthplace of the national anthem, the Star Spangled Banner. Fort McHenry sits at the tip of Baltimore’s harbor, and protected it from intruders—who were attempting to enter from the Chesapeake Bay and the Patapsco River during the war of 1812. Behold the fall foliage along the banks of the Patapsco and surrounding Baltimore County!

Where to get a warm cup for your Autumn walk

On your way to peruse the fall foliage, check out these great coffee shops in Baltimore City!

Just blocks from nearby Patterson Park, check out One Do in Canton. They are featuring a pumpkin spiced chai latte that will warm your hands and your heart! If you’re on your way to Federal Hill, make sure to stop by the newly renovated Cross Street Market, which features a new outpost of Ceremony Coffee (featuring seasonal menus for food and for caffeine). Last but not least, head to Order & Chaos Coffee, where you can grab a “walking waffle” on your way to Fort McHenry.
